Coconut Grove, Dickinson Bay, Antigua – one of my favourite beaches in Antigua, and probably the Caribbean. White sandy beach, azure blue sea, paradise. This one sun lounger in a rare spot of shade didn’t stand empty for long.

Secret moments
Taken on my iPhone, I loved the colours of the sunrise over Carlisle Bay in Barbados. Yes that’s right, I said sunrise, not sunset! Yes, I was (still) up at around 5.30am 🙂 And it was beautifully peaceful and quiet.

Taken with my old iPhone and edited with Instagram, this is a typical Cornish coastline on a misty Bank Holiday Sunday. We chose to visit this particular spot, Gunwalloe Cove, because it was used in the recent BBC adaptation of the Poldark books.

Elgol beach
In this shot I was experimenting with longer shutter speeds to try and smooth out the sea as the waves hit the rocks. I didn’t have a tripod or my ND filter with me, so had to manage hand-held. It didn’t come out quite as I’d hoped, but I think the green of the seaweed on the rocks gives it a bit of interest.
